Xbox Live Marketplace is Down?

I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas holidays, exchanging gifts and playing some great party games. Getting together with friends and family for some Rock Band or Guitar Hero action really can’t be beat. That’s why I was so happy when I received an early present of some Microsoft Points for my Xbox 360. I got all excited about being able to buy some new content through the Xbox Live Marketplace and then I ran into a snag.

I’m away from my Xbox 360 at the moment, so I thought that I would take advantage of the Xbox.com connectivity to load up my account so that I could ditch the physical prepaid card. It seemed like a good idea. I tried on Tuesday, but got the message above, stating that the Xbox Live Marketplace was not available. Tuesdays are usually update days, so I thought that made sense.

But when I tried again yesterday (Wednesday), I got the same message. What’s up with that? Why is Microsoft offering me a big lump of coal this year? Am I alone or is XBLM not working for you either?
