Xbox 360 Premium Gets Price Drop for GTA IV

As video game consoles get a little older, manufacturers have to reflect this age in their pricing. The components that go into creating a machine get cheaper and people are less inclined to pay full price for a machine that’s already a couple of years old, especially if there are more powerful (and newer) alternatives at the same price.

The Microsoft Xbox 360 Premium may be soon getting a fairly significant price cut and this drop in price just may coincide with the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV. It’s still seriously in the rumor stages, but people are saying that the price for a Xbox 360 Premium will dip another $49 when GTA IV hits shelves. This would result in a $299 price point for the States and a similar situation for Canada. This will surely motivate people who have not yet jumped into the new generation.
