Xbox 360 Has Most Popular Guitar Hero III

It’s not surprising that Guitar Hero III is the hottest release of the week. It’s not surprising that everyone is clamoring over one another to get themselves a copy of the latest addition to the rhythm game franchise. I know that my favorite Future Shop location is completely sold out and many other retailers are reporting the same.

But which version of Guitar Hero III is the most popular? Well, the Xbox 360 version is head and shoulders above the other three copies by a fairly sizable margin. For the Xbox 360, retailers have pushed out 166,041 copies of Guitar Hero III. Lagging way behind that is the Wii version with 52,691 units, the PS2 version with 42,017 units, and the PS3 version with a paltry 36,081 copies.

Sounds like everyone is rocking out pretty hard!
