Wrath Of The Lich King Is The Fastest Selling Title Of All Time
Wrath of the Lich King has broken sales records and is now the fastest selling PC title of all time, surpassing a record that was held by none other than the previous WoW expansion, The Burning Crusade.
According to publisher Activision Blizzard, the game sold more than 2.8 million copies in its first 24 hours of availability.
Just in case you weren’t aware of WoW’s selling power, the previous sales record was set by the title’s first expansion, The Burning Crusade, which moved nearly 2.4 million copies in a day.
So if you were among the players who bought WoW on its release day, congratulations on becoming a part of history. I’m not among you, unfortunately, so I’m six levels behind as we speak. It’ll be interesting to see what the final numbers for Wrath will be in a couple of days.
