WoW Test Realm Patch Notes Indicate Early Access Mounts
If Blizzard decides to implement patch 2.4.3 as it is in the test realm, then WoW players will be able to access mounts at level 30, a full ten levels earlier than before. There are a couple of other updates as well, but this stands as the one that significantly changes how the game is played. Blizzard is clearly pushing people to start creating alternate characters (AKA alts, as opposed to the main characters AKA main), possibly in preparation for Wrath of the Lich King.
Mounts at 30?! Yes, it’s true: Apprentice Riding and mounts are now available at level 30. Training costs 35 gold.
The move also raises questions regarding the speed of the mounts. The key word here is “apprentice”, which could indicate that the level 30 mounts could be slower than their level 40 counterparts, which provide a 60% speed boost. Again, it’s all speculation right now, but we should find out next week. Season 4 is scheduled to start and I can’t wait for the new gear!
