WoW Paid Character Transfer Service Live

If you had not realized, Blizzard has launched its Paid Character Transfer Service. Now, much like other MMORPG’s, you can transfer characters from one account to another.

Let your friend use your account to get him hooked on the game? Well, now you can transfer his character to his own account when he gets one set up, so he can use the character again without starting over.

This new functionality will allow you to transfer characters to other realms (within certain restrictions) in order to join friends and family or make new friends and allies.

There was around five realms that allowed transfers on launch, but now many others have been added, you can see the full list over at the World of Warcraft Community site.

To limit people from doing this often, or easily selling characters, Blizzard has imposed a charge for using this service. You can expect to pay $25 US to be able to transfer a character.
