WoW Dominates Best-Selling PC Games For January

Grannypcgamer.jpg

If you’re interested in what are the most popular PC games these days, you’ll be glad to hear that the NPD have released sales figures for January for exactly that segment. This doesn’t count things like digital delivery, focusing instead on full retail sale.

Even though it’s been out for quite some time now, World of Warcraft is still sitting on top of the list and Blizzard couldn’t be happier. But that’s not the only WoW title hitting up the top ten, because the Battle Chest and Burning Crusade came in at numbers 3 and 4, respectively. Amongst all these hard core games like Call of duty and Crysis, there are also some oddities like Diner Dash and Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff.

It’s also kind of notable that people are still interested in old school RTS action, because Warcraft III Battle Chest came in at #14. I guess they started to get bored with the MMO side of Warcraft.

1. World Of Warcraft
2. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
3. World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest
4. World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade
5. The Sims 2 Deluxe
6. Diner Dash
7. 15000 Games
8. The Sim City 4 Deluxe
9. The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff
10. Crysis
