Wii Virtual Console Hits the Century Mark

Before the Wii was even released, one of the features that had everyone talking was the “Virtual Console”, granting nostalgic gamers the opportunity to relive past favorites like Streets of Rage and Super Mario Bros. I was hoping that these games would be free, but I guess in the end, that was just wishful thinking.
Now that Nintendo’s ubiquitously waving-arms-everywhere home console has been on the market for a solid six months, it’s about to celebrate a rather important milestone. No, this has nothing to do with Smash Bros. Brawl, unfortunately. Instead, it’s the Virtual Console that we’re celebrating, because with the release of The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, the VC now has 100 titles to its name.
Here’s to the next 100.
