Wii Sports Showdown: Dog Vs. Cat

We understand that Nintendo wants to capture the interest of casual gamers with the Wii, getting the motion-sensitive console into the hands of grandparents, soccer moms, and kindergarten kids across the globe. We’ve seen the Wii deployed in gyms, in retirement homes, and even in the military. But this goes a little too far.

I don’t think Nintendo ever intended the Wii to be played cross-species, but that’s exactly what seems to be happening in the clip above. Dog lovers and cat lovers have been at one another’s throats for years, saying that one species serves as a better companion than the other, but which is better at Wii Sports Tennis? Isn’t that really the age old question?

OK, maybe not. Then again, this could just be construed as animal cruelty. What says you?
