Wii All Shaken Up Over Samba de Amigo

Shake shake shake. Shake shake shake. Shake your booty! Shake your booty!

Samba de Amigo was one of the coolest rhythm games of its era. I remember when I first walked into an arcade to discover the pair of maracas placed in front of a huge screen. And then I saw the ridiculous monkey with a sombrero and I was hooked. My friend’s cousin had a Dreamcast and he bought the game, complete with the maracas accessories. It made for a great party game.

Well, get ready to shake your booty with a Mexican monkey again, because Samba de Amigo is coming to the Nintendo Wii this Spring. The best part is that you won’t need to fork out any extra money for maracas, because the game makes direct use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Those do have motion-sensing technology, as you recall.

The soundtrack has yet to be confirmed, but we’re told that it’ll be a mix of old and new.
