Video: Arthur + Mario World = WTF?

Mashup videos are always an interesting endeavor. A few days ago, I saw one where they transplanted Nintendo’s Mario into the world of Metal Slug. That was pretty weird. Today’s mashup is pretty odd too, because it takes Arthur and places him into a slightly modified version of the Super Mario universe.

Arthur, as you know, comes from the impossibly difficult Ghosts n’ Goblins series. He’s the knight that can be seen jumping up and down, tossing blades, and getting his armor removed, forced to fight in nothing but his knickers. The video above shows him in the world of Super Mario, but it has been altered to better suit Arthur’s history.

Because Arthur can’t stomp on goombas and koopas without the necessary stomp boots, his abilities have been upgraded to allow for the throwing of weapons in all four directions. Yes, he’s even got fireballs.
