Two Week Ordeal to Get Rock Band Replacement Guitar
It’s almost like EA knows that despite the over the top awesome-ness of Rock Band, the peripherals are literally littered with problems. I picked up the PS3 version not that long ago and right inside the package was a bright pink piece of paper saying that I should take up any broken peripheral concerns with EA directly rather than returning the defective product back to the retail store. The guy behind the counter at EB Games even reminded me of this fact.
I’ve heard about some issues with the drums, but it seems like the guitar isn’t immune to problems too. One user found that the strum bar basically stopped working on his Rock Band guitar, so he looked up the customer service line on the EA website, firing off an email telling them what happened. The story that ensues is a bit of a lengthy one, but the net result is a box that is too small, customer service reps that think the customer is ignorant, and the bonus of keeping the broken guitar at no extra charge.
