Turok Live-Action Movie

The original Turok game was reasonably fun, largely because you got to shoot down some dinosaurs with giant electron blasts. It was epic in its presentation and it was a welcome addition to the Nintendo FPS genre. The more recent iteration in the Turok franchise hasn’t been quite as exciting, but Hollywood has reportedly expressed some interest in converting Turok into a live-action movie.

Yes, we’ve had to suffer through some less than stellar Uwe Boll movies in the past, but there could be some serious potential for an awesome film here. Turok has dinosaurs. That’s not something that House of Dead or Resident Evil can say. Actor Adam Beach, who played the Son of Stone in the animated version shown above, is quoted as saying that a live action Turok is in the works. The live action flick would be ready “hopefully in a couple years.”

They’re still working on a script, so it’ll be a little while before we get any further details.
