Trailers: Assassin’s Creed

Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid are arguably the two best franchises when it comes to the stealth action genre. To tell you the truth, it was an area of gaming that I initially didn’t think that I would appreciate because of my general impatience. Imagine my surprise when I found out how fun it could be skulk in the shadows, waiting for that clueless guard to pass by.

Assassin’s Creed is a newcomer to that genre. While I’m sure the comparison with the above-mentioned titles will be inevitable, it’s setting should give it a bit of distance. It takes place during the Crusades, specifically in 1191, and gameplay is said to bring a level of interactivity that’s never been seen in an action game before.

Assassin’s Creed is set for a November 2007 release on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. A PC version is due in 2008.
