Trailer: Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Here’s the trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, a game exclusive to the Playstation 3:

Since the trailer is from Square Enix, it’s only natural for it to be impressive. Eye candy is great and all, but people don’t buy games to watch them, you know? It shares one thing with Final Fantasy XIII though: missing gameplay footage. Sure, Final Fantasy XIII has a bit of that available, but it’s not enough for anyone to actually make sense of it.

I also find the name a bit misleading. Having “versus” in the title implies a fighting game for most titles, so that’s what I thought this one was going to be. It’s not; it’s an action RPG. Again, the lack of in-game footage prevents me from taking a deeper look. For now, the footage looks good. Let’s just hope the actual gameplay doesn’t disappoint.
