Top 10 Games of 2007… That No One Played

When you look at all the top ten lists that are being released around this time, it’s very easy for the editors to hand out selections like Guitar Hero III and Super Mario Galaxy. These kinds of games fly off the shelves and people start buying them just because everyone else is buying them. After all, if the game is that bloody popular, it’s got to be good.

So, what do you do when you waltz into your local electronics store to discover that they still don’t have Rock Band in stock? What do you do when they’re still back-ordered for Halo 3? The obvious answer is to check out the hidden gems that no one knows about, because these games can be just as entertaining, just as good.

Gaming Steve has compiled a list of ten such games and I only recognize a handful of them. Pictured above is Overlord for the PC and the Xbox 360, a title that’s sort of an RPG, kind of an action-adventure, and a touch of SimCity-esque simulation. But that’s not the number one “video game that no one played in 2007.”
