Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Coming Before Xmas

Even though this update was announced over a year and a half ago, it has yet to see the light of day. I’m a fighting game fanatic, so I thought that Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix was going to be pretty awesome. Yes, it’s an old game that’s been jazzed up with new graphics, but who cares? It’s Street-freaking-Fighter.

Well, Seth Killian of Capcom has finally come forward with two very useful tidbits of information. Yes, we already know that the game will be online (PSN or XBLA for the PS3 and Xbox 360, respectively), but when will we actually be able to download it? A firm date has not been announced, but Seth said that the game would launch “before Christmas” for sure. That gives them a two-month window.

The second tidbit is that while Capcom hasn’t decided on a price yet, Seth says that it will definitely be more than $10. The game will be DLC and not disc-based, so I find anything more than $12 or so to be too much. I’d rather just wait and buy Street Fighter IV later in the winter.
