Street Fighter IV Collectible Figurines

Street Fighter IV won’t be arriving on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 until some time next year, but you can get ready for the highly anticipated fighting game by nabbing a couple of collectible figurines. Finding action figures and such inspired by popular video games is absolutely nothing out the ordinary, but the slate of figures for Street Fighter IV looks kind of monstrous.

Take the Ryu figure shown here, for example. Granted, the art style depicted in the video game is a little unconventional and it’s a sharp departure from the 2D Street Fighter games of the past, but the art simply does not transfer very well into real-world action figures. The facial expression on Ryu, according to the guys at Kotaku, makes the world warrior look “like a monkey taking a crap.” The mammoth feet aren’t exactly pretty to look at either.

For now, we can find the Ken and Ryu figures, as well as the one for Crimson Viper, but I’d imagine that the full Street Fighter IV cast will be available at some point in the future.
