Stardock Eyes Classic PC Titles

Stardock, creator of the hit game Galactic Civilizations, is interested in reviving a few notable names in PC gaming. Master of Orion, a classic turn-based strategy game, is among the titles mentioned. And that’s not the only one mentioned.

…Stardock is building up a second full internal development team, and is tossing around various project ideas. “We’d like to do a roleplaying game too,” he said, pointing to BioWare classics like Baldur’s Gate II and Knights of the Old Republic as examples of the route he would like to take.

Master of Orion? Baldur’s Gate? It’s almost as if Stardock took a peek at my classic gaming collection and chose my favorite titles. It’s going to be interesting to see an isometric RPG again. A revival of these classic titles is going to be amazing. I wonder if they’ll throw a little Planescape: Torment in the mix.
