Star Wars: The Old Republic Announced
It’s confirmed, folks. The previously unannounced MMO from Bioware is indeed based on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In fact, the title is a simplified version of it: Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Set 300 years after the events in Knights of the Old Republic (and featuring some familiar faces), Star Wars: The Old Republic will put players on either side of a massive war between the Republic and the Empire.”
While Knights of the Old Republic has produced two of the greatest Star Wars games ever created, I don’t feel too sure about its direction as an MMO. Can you imagine how space would be like if you had a thousand or so Jedi running around like cattle? I’m pretty sure the combat system and universe will be presented well, considering past history, but I’m having trouble wrapping my head around the lore.
