SSBB: Samus vs. Ridley Gameplay Video

I want Super Smash Bros. Brawl and I want it now. I had far too much fun with the first two iterations in this series and I fully expect that the Wii fighting game will be that much better, aided by a vastly expanded single-player mode (said to take about 10 hours to complete), spontaneous online battles with other Wi-Fi brawlers, and the introduction of non-Nintendo characters like Sonic and Snake.

Perhaps the biggest appeal of the Smash Bros. franchise, as it has always been, is in its strange collection of characters. In the clip above, it seems that Samus Aran from Metroid has partnered up with Pikachu of the Pokemon in some sort of adventure, stumbling across one crazy ass battle against Ridley. This looks like way too much fun and I imagine when SSBB finally makes its way to our shores — it’s available in Japan now — I won’t be getting much work done or much sleep.
