Spike TV Video Game Award Winners

A lot of people are still talking about the Golden Globe nominations that were announced a short while ago, largely because of some of the unconventional nominees. James Franco for Pinepple Express? I don’t think he expected to be nominated for anything with that role… other than stoner of the year or something.

For all the gamers in the audience, which I guess would be all of you, the Spike TV Video Game Award show was aired last night, announcing some of the best games that we have played in the last year. Many of the awards went to exactly who we expected, like Rock Band 2 nabbing the prize for Best Music Game. You didn’t think Wii Music was going to win that, right? In like manner, Little Big Planet took the top prize for the PS3.

The game of the year? Grand Theft Auto IV. It faced some pretty heavy competition from Gears of War 2 and other notables. Check out the full list of winners. Do you agree with the choices?
