Soul Calibur IV Censored? Possible Less Boobage For The U.S. Version
It’s a known fact that games developed in Japan take more than a few months before they reach North American shores. The translation is often the biggest cause of delay, since direct translations often fail miserably (see the AYB phenomenon). There’s also the voice acting to take care of: producers have to find a cast, write scripts and redub in-game scenes. While the task of localization is almost never a straightforward process, what’s good about it is that we usually get the same game in the end.
Namco Bandai’s giving us a twist on localization by giving us less than our Japanese counterparts. How less? Graphically. Ladies and gentlemen, we will be getting less of Ivy’s rack if the comparison screenshot proves to be true.
The one on the left is the Japanese version, the one on the right could possibly be the American one. To quote AYB, is this move for great justice? I think not.
