Sony Ericsson F305 = PSP Phone?

pspphone-se.jpg

Sony Ericsson has a phone that caters to just about every segment of the market. They’ve got the Walkman line for music fans, the Cyber-shot series for shutterbugs, and a series of Symbian smartphones for business folk. Where’s the love for the gamers in the audience.

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of an official PlayStation phone (or “PSP phone”) for some time now and it seems that the closet we are going to get any time soon is the newly revealed Sony Ericsson F305. No, it doesn’t have an analog stick or a high resolution display. Instead, you get a basic four-way directional pad and a pair of face buttons: X and O. No luck getting triangle or square, let alone the L and R trigger buttons.

Don’t expect PSP level graphics, because the visuals running through the SE F305 will be little more than nostalgic 2D greatness. I guess you’ll get more gaming pleasure out of the iPhone instead.

  1. What makes it different from my w910i, that too had d pad on left, motion sensor, and 2 game buttons on left, albeit not x and circle markings, but in same position and indicated as gaming buttons in the manual.?????
