Sonic Rides His Way to Wii and PS2

The first Sonic Riders game — available on the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC — didn’t exactly enjoy all that much success in the marketplace. You can pick up a bargain copy from Amazon these days for about 20 bucks. But Sega isn’t about to give up the racing-infused game featuring their favorite blue hedgehog. Quite the contrary, because word is that Sega is working on a sequel and it will be called Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.
Set for release on the PS2 and the Nintendo Wii, Sonic Riders 2 (which is probably more descriptive) will feature a similar trick system as the original title, accompanied by a small onslaught of characters from the Sonic universe. I’m just guessing here, but the Wii version will probably be played with a horizontally-aligned Wii Remote, sort of like how you control the cheeky hedgehog in Sonic and the Secret Rings.
