Smash Bros. Dev Works on TMNT Fighter

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is easily one of the best games available on the Nintendo Wii today. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles make up one of the recognizable and iconic franchises that this world has ever seen. It was only a matter of time between the two brawlers would meet and the outcome could be nothing short of magical.

According to Nintendo Power, a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighting game is coming to the NIntendo Wii and it’s going to be developed by a group of pretty impressive developers, including some who worked on Super Smash Bros. Brawl and others who worked on Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. That’s quite the impressive pedigree.

Very few details have been released, but they’re saying that this fighter will be 2.5D and will be a four-playing fighting game. In this way, I’m thinking that the action will either be like Smash Bros. or like the Naruto fighting games. Either way, TMNT games have been less than stellar (with the exception of the arcade game), so let’s hope these guys can turn that record around.
