Samba de Amigo Wii Gameplay Video
Here’s a shocker.
You may have heard the stories about Samba de Amigo coming to the Nintendo Wii and as such, you might be wondering how the game will play out using Nintendo’s motion-sensitive controllers. As it turns out, the Wii version looks, feels, and plays almost the same as the Dreamcast version released so many years ago. The graphics are just as cartoony as ever and you’re still looking at six circles arrange around a central hub where colored orbs are emitted in a rhythmic fashion.
What you see above is reportedly the first footage from an early build of the game. The Wii Remote works as the right maraca, whereas the left maraca is taken over by the Nunchuk attachment. Seeing how these controllers were designed to understand their location and orientation in a 3D space, the creation of a Wii-fueled maraca-fest was probably a rather simple affair for the Sega team.
Personally, I think I’ll have more fun with Guitar Hero.
