Rock Band Drum Set Hooked Up To PC

Leave it up to the hackers to create seemingly useless concoctions that may someday evolve into something totally awesome. What you see above is the drum set from EA’s Rock Band hooked up to a PC. All the hits on the drum components are registering in the configuration tool, but no software has been set up that actually makes use of this interface.

Somewhere down the road, we fully expect folks to design homebrew applications wherein you’ll be able to use the drums for a variant of Tetris or maybe even a whole new rhythm game designed from the ground up for this purpose.
