Review: The Last Remnant

The Last Remnant. It’s an RPG from Square Enix. Why is it a big deal? Because it’s not a Final Fantasy title. Is it really that different? Is Square Enix actually capable of starting a new franchise?

The video will take a while to load, but here’s one thing that this review and others have mentioned: technical issues. There are problems with the framerate and I mean major problems here. The reviewer even says that you should avoid the game if you don’t have a hard drive installed. That’s definitely something you should consider if you’re looking forward to this title. I’ll admit that I used to be among that, but now that the reviews are in, I’m thinking twice about it. The good news here is that Square Enix is showing that it’s willing to deviate from Final Fantasy. I just wish it put more effort into it.
