Review: Fable 2

Fable 2 is out. Here are excerpts from a review:

It may not be entirely “sandbox” in nature, but its uncanny ability to shape itself around you rather than forcing you to cope with it is rare, and it’s because of the way the game’s various systems work to support this design intention that Fable II stands as one of the best RPGs of the year and easily one of the finest titles in the Xbox 360 library.

The lackluster intro is a reflection of the low expectations that I had for the game and I’m glad to see that, so far, I’m wrong. I enjoyed the original, mind you, it’s just that there were a few things that it did not deliver and I simply didn’t want to be disappointed again. It’s good to know that Fable 2 exceeds its predecessor, so check it out yourself when you can.

By the way, I played Fable on the PC. I wonder if we’ll get something like that with the sequel.
