Resident Evil 5: Army of Two Always

The bulk of the attention turning to Capcom these days has to do with Street Fighter IV, but they’ve also got an update to another legendary franchise in the works and it looks to be an absolute beauty.

Resident Evil 5, for the first time in the series, will feature a cooperative multiplayer mode throughout the campaign and the kicker is that players can drop in and out of co-op play at will. This means that if you have the opportunity to play with a buddy, you can. If you needs to head out to grab lunch, you can continue on without him.

It turns out that the core campaign mode is always comprised of two protagonists, because when a second human player is not available, the second character is taken over by the AI. The Resident Evil battle needs an army of two at all times.

There is also a new cover system wherein players can lock to a wall and fire around the corner. This will make shooting at those slow-moving zombies a little easier.
