Red Alert 3 Comes With Misprinted Serial Keys

Security checks are part of the average PC game and we’ve grown used to it. We already know about DRM and how bad it was for Spore, but it seems like it isn’t enough to prevent us from playing games we already bought.

Red Alert 3 owners have reported that one character of their serial key is missing. That’s right, instead of getting a 20-character key, the documentation only has 19. EA explains that this is due to a misprint. Here’s the proposed solution:

“There is currently a work around that may allow you to bypass this issue. Since you have the first 19 characters of the code already, you can basically try ‘guessing’ the last character,” explains EA.

“To do this, simply enter your existing code, and then for the last character, try the letters A-Z, and then the numbers 0-9. You should eventually get the right combination, and be able to play the game.”

If you’re running into the issue, then I hope you’re good with guesswork. Good luck!
