Did you just massacre your buddy in a Rock Band battle? Did you frag a whole army of noobs in Call of Duty 4? It seems that you may soon be able to share your victories with the online community, thanks to the upcoming ability to upload your PS3 videos directly to YouTube.

Sony Computer Entertainment is taking advantage of the YouTube API so that video game developers can add video uploading to their titles. The functionality will probably vary from game to game, but the idea is that you can upload in-game video to YouTube from inside the game. No need to set up some funky camera rig in your living room.

Mainichi Issho, a free Japanese PSN title that debuted in November 2006, will be the first game to use this feature. It’s the Animal Crossing-looking game shown above. At this time, no other title has been announced to take advantage of the YouTube API, but it sure sounds like an interesting prospect. I can just see YouTube getting filled with all sorts of pwnage.
