PlayStation 3 Getting Geared Up for Crysis?

The new benchmark in PC gaming is undoubtedly Crysis. It’s the game that requires you to have a top-of-the-line gaming rig, especially if you want to get even close to what the game is capable of displaying. Crysis boasts some of the best and most detailed graphics we have ever seen, so you shouldn’t even think about running it on any sort of budget or even mid-range computer.

If you’re not prepared to dump thousands of dollars into a high-end gaming computer, you might be better off dumping a few hundred dollars in the PlayStation 3. That’s because there’s word coming around that Crysis will indeed be coming to Sony’s next-generation home gaming system. Seeing how the PS3 is probably the most powerful of three current game consoles, it’s probably the best fit for any sort of Crysis console conversion.

Like the PC game you can expect a visual powerhouse; an open-world shooter that begins on a beautiful tropical island before things take a turn for the worse and aliens from a parallel world stake a claim on Earth. Only the mighty Killzone 2 could possibly hold a candle to this shooter.
