Okami Coming To The Wii
If you own a Wii and you’re looking for something to look forward to, then you’ll be glad to hear that Okami is coming to the Wii! Originally released on the PS2, Okami was an adventure game where you played as the sun goddess Amaterasu. Choosing to appear as a white wolf, you strode through medieval Japan with the goal of removing an overpowering corruption that has consumed the land.
Okami’s biggest innovation was its use of a paintbrush, shown in-game as the wolf’s tail. By holding down a button to freeze the scenery and turn it into a paint-on-paper image, you could draw lines, curves and circles to aid you in your journey. As the sun god, you had the ability to turn night into day, day into night, conjure bombs out of thin air, and make lightning strike your foes. The drawing element of the game fits perfectly with the Wii-mote, but Capcom says they’ll have to work on motion-controlled attacks as well.
