No Rock Band 2 for Wii Until Next Year?

rb2-wiidate.png

I picked up my copy of Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360 in September, but owners of the PlayStation 3 had to wait until October before they could rock out to the latest offering from EA and Harmonix. An extra month didn’t sound too bad, I suppose, but what about all of the Nintendo Wii crew out there? It took them forever to even get the first Rock Band and now it seems that the wait has been extended for Rock Band 2.

Originally scheduled for release in December, it seems that Rock Band 2 for the Nintendo Wii has been further delayed. Various online stores still have it listed for release around December 16th or so, but the official website is now showing a launch date of January 5th. Yup, no Rock Band 2 for Christmas.

No announcement has been made, so this could just be a glitch in the matrix. Then again, this could represent a very real delay. Maybe it has to do with instrument compatibility or something.
