Nintendo DS Learns to Fight Cancer

No, I’m not talking about Trauma Center: Under the Knife. This is no game, folks, but you can get your game on for a very worthy cause. Amidst all the special edition Nintendo DS portable gaming machines in the market, there is one that is trying to make a difference. Nintendo is releasing a Pink Ribbon DS Lite that will help to raise money for the cancer charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

From what I can see, it looks like a pretty normal-looking Polar White DS Lite, except it has a pink ribbon decal attached to its backplate. This is to raise breast cancer awareness and for every unit that is purchased, Nintendo will donate five bucks to the charity. Even if they don’t sell like hotcakes, Nintendo has guaranteed that it will donate at least $100,000.

Seeing how Shiggy, Reggie, and the rest of the Ninty crew are swimming in money, it’s good to hear that they’re giving back to the community too.
