Do you feel like taking a trip down memory lane? Namco and J2Play’s announcement of Pac-Man and Dig Dug for Facebook could be the trip you’re looking for. The companies have developed apps for the social networking site that lets users play the games in all their nostalgic glory.

The games are enhanced versions of the original that have been optimized for Facebook and the like. As expected, they will also feature additional tools such as chat and real-time challenges, allowing players to compete with their friends. Namco has gone a step further and said that its games will go beyond Facebook because the titles will be available for download. The catch? You’ll have to pay $9.99 to play all 256 levels of either Pac-Man or Dig Dug.

Facebook integration will allow the games to post feeds according to user activity, informing your friends of your progress (or the lack thereof). For more information, visit www.namcogames.com.
