More Deca Sports on the Way

As if there weren’t enough minigame collections on the Nintendo Wii already, it seems that Hudson is ready to unleash another batch of distractions that will get everyone from little Suzie to grandpa up and swinging their arms like crazy. The first Deca Sports, while offering twice as many “sports” as Wii Sports, really wasn’t the most exciting or most polished thing in the world, but I guess it sold well enough to warrant a sequel.
We are now hearing that the new Deca Sports 2 is in the works and we’ll get ten more sports to play in remarkably dumbed down and simple ways. I guess this makes them approachable, but I found the first Deca Sports to be remarkably shallow. There was no depth, the character animations were minimalist at best, and I grew tired of the game after a couple of minutes.
What sports should we expect for Deca 2? In addition to synchronized swimming, shown above, we hear that it’ll have ice hockey, speed skating, tennis, and mogul skiing. The other five will presumably be announced in time.
