MMO On The Way From Sid Meier

Sid Meier is somewhat of a legendary figure in the arena of computer games, having authored such classics as the Civilization series (pictured) and Railroads! Seeing the huge popularity of players who want to stay interconnected with their other gaming counterparts, Sid Meier is now working on a massively multiplayer online game. If you thought you loved his creations before, wait until you step into the MMO world of Sid Meier.

He does note, however, that it may not necessarily be the next game he makes or if it’s “still a couple of games down the road”. Sid is already working on a new single-player game, so the entry into MMO might hit up the backburner for the time being.

Even so, the possibility of a version of Civilization with a giant, persistent world is certainly attractive. Or how about a MMO Pirates! to compete against Pirates of the Burning Sea? The graphics would probably be better.
