Mega Man 9 Bosses Revealed (with Sprites)

Known as Rock Man in other parts of the world, Mega Man has left an indelible mark on my childhood. Although I was never particularly good at Mega Man games, they were a lot of fun. Beating the tar out of everyone from Wood Man to Cuts Man, there was something strangely appealing about bouncing around in a blue suit, shooting out little balls of energy.

As we look toward Mega Man 9, we’re left wondering what sort of bosses we’ll have to face. We already know that the developers are throwing in some glitches and bugs on purpose so that we can get more of a retro feel, but what about the bad guys? Well, what you see here is the first look at all eight bosses from Mega Man 9. Yes, the pics are only in grayscale, but at least they give you an idea of what to expect.

And yes, their names are as cheesy as ever. I think Splash Woman is the first female boss, right?
