Mass Effect 2 Officially Announced
The sequel to one of the most popular RPGs in recent memory has been announced. Electronic Arts and Bioware have made Mass Effect 2 official, though you shouldn’t get too excited because the release date is still far off, set for early 2010.
In Mass Effect 2, the second game in what will become a trilogy, “Saren’s evil army of Geth soldiers has just been defeated, and humans, who are still struggling to make their mark on the galactic stage, are now faced with an even greater peril.”
Word out on the Web is that players have been asked to keep their Mass Effect save files. How that is going to affect the sequel has yet to be revealed, although it’s likely that we’ll know until the game finally hits retail. Mass Effect 2′s supported platforms are the Xbox 360 and the PC.
