Mass Effect 2 Details Revealed
Bioware dropped a few details about Mass Effect 2, courtesy of executives Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka. Here’s what we know so far:
- DLC is already being planned and there are indications that it will have the same stuff that made the original controversial. In case you don’t know what that was, it was sex.
- The PC and Xbox 360 versions are being developed simultaneously, although there’s no word on whether both will share the same release date or not.
- The game’s shooter element is being enhanced.
- There’s still the emphasis on retaining your save files from the original.
The third item reminds me of Deus Ex. It was critically acclaimed at the time but the complaint was the same: the overall gameplay was excellent but the shooter element needed work. Will Bioware be able to pull that off correctly this time? We’ll just have to wait and see.
