Link’s Crossbow Training is Well Worth 20 Bucks

Duck Hunt was great. Sure, it was remarkably simple and that stupid taunting dog would get on your nerves very quickly, but it was wildly addictive and we have yet to come across another pack-in shooter that deserved to be mentioned in the same sentence as Duck Hunt. Apparently, that has now changed.
Michael McWhertor of Kotaku had a hands-on session with Link’s Crossbow Training for the Nintendo Wii and he say that it “was the biggest surprise for me at Nintendo’s recent media event.” Considering that for $19.99 (USD) you get the Wii Zapper peripheral and this shooting gallery game, it’s an exceptional value.
Despite the “training” moniker, Link’s Crossbow Training isn’t going to be confused with Nintendo’s series of brain and vision strengthening software titles. It will, however, bring out the high score thirsty fiend in you.
Link’s Crossbow Training is broken up into 9 levels, each with three stages. These stages are one of three types: Target Shooting, Defender or Ranger.
At the end of the day, Michael says that “Link’s Crossbow Training is the best $19.99 you’ll ever spend on the Wii.”
