Let Them Eat Cake (Mania)

Let’s see here. The Nintendo Wii is meant to bring casual gamers into the fold with titles like We Ski, Wii Fit, and Deca Sports. The casual game market is filled with all sorts of cheap addictive games for the computer. It’s only natural that these two segments would find some sort of middle ground.

Majesco and Sandlot Games have announced that they are going to bring the Cake Mania franchise over to Nintendo’s controller-waving console. The new Wii version of Cake Mania will come with the time and task management that you’ve come to expect from the bakery simulation series. Naturally, the gameplay mechanic comes with all sorts of waving, waggling, and other motion controls.

Cake Mania: In the Mix is set to come out this holiday season. Interestingly, it’s a full disc release and not a WiiWare title. It’d better be cheap.
