Konami Working on Elebits Sequel for Wii

The first Elebits game for the Nintendo Wii was pretty innovative for its time. It was one of the first games to truly demonstrate what you could be done through Wii Remote motion controls. You could pick up objects and fling them across the room. You could turn doorknobs and open doors. You could open drawers and carefully manipulate items in your environment. Sure, some of the physics were a little buggy and the storytelling was a little odd, but Elebits was quite a bit of fun.
In addition to Elebits: Adventures of Kai & Zero for the Nintendo DS, it turns out that Konami is also working on a full-fledged sequel for the Nintendo Wii. Details are slim on the nameless game (Elebits 2?), but Product Manager Gregg Nolan says that this game will be completely new, a totally fresh Elebits experiences.
I wouldn’t be all that surprised if this is one of the first games to take advantage of some Wii-DS interconnectivity.
