International World of Warcraft Commercials

World of Warcraft is not a new game. It’s been out for quite some time now, so you’d be pretty hard pressed to even find a soccer mom who hasn’t heard about the world’s largest online game. The whole massively multiplayer thing really sparked people’s interest, but that interest has begun to wane, despite being featured on South Park earlier this year too.

Blizzard is going on a bit of a marketing blitz with their crowning jewel, hoping to re-capture lost players and gain a few new ones along the way. They want you to re-enter (or enter for the first time) the World of Warcraft. And they’ve hired a bunch of international actors to get your attention.

In clip above you can see three ad spots: Verne Troyer (Mini Me) for the United States, Jean-Claude Van Damme for France, and Willy Toledo for Spain. You don’t need to understand what they’re saying… though I did figure out that Willy is a paladin.
