IGN Reviews Mario Kart Wii (Video)

Mario Kart Wii launched in Japan last week, but we’re not going to get our hands on the North American version until this Sunday. Is the Wii wheel really revolutionary? How is the handling? Do you miss snaking? These questions and more are addressed in the video review above from the good guys at IGN Wii.

All in all, they say that the game is far from perfect and it’s not the best Mario Kart game in the series, but it’s perfectly suitable as being a “bridge” title that will satisfy both casual gamers looking for a fun party game and more experienced racers looking to re-visit a speedy world filled with heat-seeking blue koopa shells. The multiplayer is decent and the dedicated Mario Kart channel makes things a lot more pleasant too.
