HP’s Handheld To Get You Out Of Your Couch

Introducing MScape, HP’s handheld gaming device.

As you can see from the video, the MScape requires you to scan your environment for bonuses and other game-related goals. Although it doesn’t indicate how it will process pathfinding and navigation, one thing is clear: you will literally travel from one point to another.

I’m not sure how the gaming crowd will react to this. Heck, I’m not even sure what I think about it. Right now, I just hope there’s more compelling gameplay involved than what was presented. I have this impression that I’m looking at the electronic equivalent of a scavenger hunt.
