Hello Kitty MMO Features Sophisticated Combat System

You’ve got to be kidding me… Sadly, this game is very much for real and it’s very much on schedule for release later this year.

Hello Kitty Online is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game that is targeting males between the age of 45 and 55. Oh wait, I mean “female players from their pre-teens to twenties”, making it the first MMORPG to set its sights on this demographic profile. Sanrio Digital is the name behind the game, and Helly Kitty Online has just entered the closed beta phase, getting it that much closer to a full release to the masses of ballistically enthusiastic Hello Kitty fans around the world.

All the usual MMO stuff comes into play in this game, including customizable avatars, player housing, crafting, and even a sophisticated combat system. Yes, you can beat the tar out of other HKO players, although the press release says that combat “need not be a primary objective for players of Hello Kitty Online.”

Screw that. It’s time to spank some kitty.
